At PCA we use a total communication approach, with sign supported language to help us with our communication skills and our learning.
Makaton transforms the lives of children with learning and communication difficulties, by giving them a way to express themselves independently. Being able to communicate eases frustration and gives children confidence and independence while they develop communication and language skills. Makaton also supports pre-reading and pre-writing skills towards literacy development.
